MANILA, Philippines – A labor official in Riyadh, accused by three overseas Filipino workers of sexually molesting and pimping them in exchange for plane tickets, on Thursday faced a Senate inquiry into the reported sex exploitation involving some Philippine embassy and labor officials in the Middle East.
Riyadh-based assistant labor attaché Antonio “Tony” Villafuerte was among those present in a joint hearing conducted by the Senate blue ribbon and labor committees.
Foreign Secretary Albert Del Rosario, Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, and other government officials also attended the hearing.
